Five Tools in One with the FastFix Chuck System
The innovative Festool FastFix chuck system allows you to use any of the five Festool specialty chucks with your T 12+3, delivering the versatility that you need to tackle virtually any job, and four of the five chucks are included with this set (the depth-stop chuck is sold separately).

The eccentric chuck is designed for working in corners and against adjoining edges, while the right-angle chuck allows you to work at a 90-angle to the drive motor, opening up spaces that used to be impossible to access with a power drill. Both of these chucks swivel a full 360 degrees and feature 16 locking positions for extra versatility.

The smaller, lighter Centrotec chuck reduces the T 12+3's weight and footprint and works with the full array of Festool Centrotec drill and driver bits, while the keyless drill chuck can be used with drill and driver bits up to 1/2-inch in diameter. You can also use standard hex driver bits in the drill with no chuck attached. Conveniently Placed Direction, Mode, and Speed Selectors
You can quickly switch between driving and removing screws with the forward/reverse switch, which is conveniently located near the trigger. On the top of the T 12+3, you'll find the drill/drive-mode selector and the speed selector.

When in drill mode, the T 12+3 automatically overrides the clutch to make sure you get maximum power and torque. When in drive mode, the clutch re-engages, and switching between drill and drive modes won't cause you to lose your clutch setting.

The speed selector offers two settings and doesn't change the torque produced by the motor. When it's used in conjunction with the clutch setting, you can achieve true application-specific performance.
